It would only take me 5 or 10 minutes to cut it out and bend a new piece swage it and braze it in.
I’d put a drop of oil on the bender this time and smear it around with my finger and probably not have to do it again until I get a new bender.

I’m tired of these mediocre “semi flammable” refrigerants. If we’re going to do it let’s do it right.
Unless we change direction we are likely to end up where we are going.

That aint a ripple. More of a crimp. Would reject if on my job.
It’s the line set manufacturer. I’ve never used lubrication and know exactly when I get cheap copper.
I did a 90° 7/8″ last week and it was flawless.
I’ve also gotten that crap copper and the inside radius looked like a alligators belly.

Are you bending L or M copper? Is it from rolls or straight 20′ length?

I got the hilmor compact bending kit, and just like a lot of other posts have said, I am getting the ripples on 3/4 or higher. I know light ripples are okay, but what about heavy/deeper ripples? Will they cause a suction line restriction or make any noise like a kink would?

Very unlikely…..usually Type L
Believe me you will know type K if you see it. Noticeably heavier. I have run into it once.

We use K type here for underground water lines it has the thickest wall.
Wow that’s really bad. I can do a lot better than that with the Yellow Jacket ratchet bender.
Are the dies aluminum or plastic? Ive used both and had far more issues with the plastic dies. My yellow jacket is plastic and like said previously sometimes needs a bit of lube. Also think it more of a copper issue than a bender issue as well.
