AX JACE – replicate point(s) across multiple devices

I am trying to replace an NAE55 that only has a bunch of TEC thermostats on it (about 70 of them) with an old AX JACE I have laying around. Pulled all the devices in. I thought it would be smart to pull in the points for 1 of the devices, get all the alarms, histories, etc all setup for that one device, and then highlight all the points, choose copy, then select all the other devices in the building and hit the “paste” button. Unfortunately when I select more than device the “paste” button is greyed out.

Spent half the afternoon trying to figure out how to efficiently do this, gave up eventually and went and pasted them one at time to the point folder in each device. For future reference is there any way to do this quicker? I thought maybe templates, but that didn’t come around till N4. Perhaps a robot script?

Your idea is spot on, but your workflow is a bit off.

Delete all the devices except the one you have setup exactly as you want. Then copy that device, right click paste special and tell it how many you need. Also note the option to keep all links. If you have something like an OAT share or they all have the same schedule and you have that linked to the first, might as well check that off as well.

Once that’s wraps up, adjust the addressing on all the new modules.
