Unfortunately I haven’t found a place to get them it looks like they don’t Supply them in the US but they show on all the other countries websites.

“Is this before or after you fired the parts cannon at it?” – senior tech

I’m tired of these mediocre “semi flammable” refrigerants. If we’re going to do it let’s do it right.

Unless we change direction we are likely to end up where we are going.

  • The best source I found is Goodman/Danfoss piston kits.

  • I know they come with a new piston or TxV kit.

It looks like I have a restricted TxV on a system possibly due to contamination so I will probably be reusing the TxV after taking it out and cleaning – but I believe I would need a new seal. Looked online but I mostly see them come with a solder to Chatleff fitting among with the seal. I don’t need the fitting – only the seal.

Is a Chatleff fitting something created by Sporlan and only used for connecting TxVs?

Chatleff is a danfoss product. I hate all the extra pistons I end up with from it but I just pull the rings out of piston packets.

ok thanks. I’m guessing they are not meant to be reused.

Not as far as I know.
You can get away with it if they are not over tightened but that’s rare.

Yeah that’s what I thought. I found some websites that seem to sell them but not sure if I trust them since I don’t recognize the name.

  • I just sent a request to danfoss America asking for the part number to buy them in the USA.

Thanks – appreciate it. You are correct that when I enter the part number I see it listed on many non-US websites but not in the US.

Wait…isn’t Danfoss Danish – maybe I can have one of my friends who is Danish have someone over there buy it and ship it to me…lol

Well I will be in the UK and France next month so if they have them there I might consider buying them in bulk and shipping it back to myself or throwing them in checked baggage. Half serious thought…lol…buying HVAC parts while travelling.

Just make sure you pay any import fees or whatever is required. I don’t want to see you get in trouble.

I’ve shipped stuff internationally so I’m familiar with the customs paperwork. As far as bringing it in person – yes there might be something to pay but it’s based on the value of the stuff – I cannot imagine it would be much.

  • They come with replacement pistons and TXVs,.

There’s also plenty of times I’ve re-used them, as long as they aren’t torn up it’s fine.
