Compressor runing backwards
Any Trane/American standard dealers experiencing issues with the compressors runing backwards due to quick power loss ( 24v or 240v high voltage loss?)

Thats what can happen to a scroll when you cycle power that quick. If you have power issues like that use a delay on break.

We did install delay timers, brake Y wire, adjusted to 4 min, tested delay… customers keep calling back few days later- same noise.

TDOB was designed to prevent short cycling … (any thermostat for example, has an internal TDOB)
TDOM can be used for staging
Tell your Cat I said “Psst Psst Psst”
How can a TDOB work through a loss of power? I’d have to vote for delay on make in that scenario.
A delay on break is really a delay on re-make
