    No manufactures deal directly with the end consumer, only with an installing contractor.

    I know contractor only, but which brands wont have issues or delays with parts?

    This seems to be the downside to mini’s

    Fujitsu, Mitsubishi, and Daikin. Any other brand it’s very questionable as to whether or not parts will be available at all and especially after the first 5 years.

    I’m tired of these mediocre “semi flammable” refrigerants. If we’re going to do it let’s do it right.

    Unless we change direction we are likely to end up where we are going.

    That’s not entirely true during good times when parts are easy to get many of the weird mini split brands have no where to buy parts. I had to replace two boards in a Fujitsu mini split during the beginning of covid because they would effective and died within 15 minutes of startup and Fujitsu got me the parts within a week. I have a customer with a Mr Cool unit and I put in a request for technical information so that I could troubleshoot it over a month ago and I have not received a response from Mr Cool.
