N2 Bus Points Discovery

Have a question (probably stupid, sorry guys).

I’m not great or very experienced with N2 networks.

JCI Facilities Explorer system.

I have an N4 local Jace in a school pushing to an N4 server.

School starts Monday and I have 2 dead FX07 controllers hung off of an N2 bus. Replacing them with PCG 2611 controllers.

What’s the discovery process to bring them in to the local via the N2 network?

I do have one unit that’s been done already so I have a wiring template and program I can pull. Just need to pull them into the N2 network. Pushing to the server out of the local is easy enough afterwards.

You’ll also need a resource file to bring in the points. In your case, I think you’ll need the CAF for each controller. I’m not an expert on N2, but hopefully this gets you pointed in the right direction.

N4/AX will not discover N2 devices points, older UNT/FX, etc and newer PCG/V configured for N2. Need to use the prn file to create your points list in N4/AX for N2 devices. In CCT/PCT you can create a PRN for PCG/V controllers if configured for N2, it is under the same tab where you map out the N2 points …..
