New Control Board but Compressor not turning on now. Need help.
My Goodman AC stopped working so from previous experience I thought it may be a new control board so I ordered one off of Ebay. The model for the part was PCBKF102. When I put the used board I bought off of Ebay in the compressor outside would kick on, but the blower in the furnace wouldn’t. The board read a code b1. The tech came out will a new motor and determined the board was bad. So I bought a NEW one this time PCBKF105S, the latest model and hooked it up. This time there are no errors on the board and the blower works, but now the compressor outside isn’t kicking on. I would think this is a power related issue. The tech told me the boards need to be programmed but I’m never done that in the past. Possible another bad board? Any help would be appreciated? Thanks,
Jarod
Why didnt you buy the board from the tech?

The “tech” told me the board was $***, but it was unvailable and on backorder because he looked up the old model PCBKF102. I knew there was a newer model PCBKF105S that I could get off Ebay for $***.
I would have thought that he would have known that boards are replaced with newer versions, but he didn’t. This made me second guess him, plus I thought he may have been gouging me since he already stated $*** for the old board. Please refrain from adding prices to your post. Why is that? What good is a HVAC board if no help is provided. I use tech-tips all the time and there are no rules like this.
Reread the top of the page 👆🏻
What is this site for then, if not to assist others?
Professionals helping professionals.
There’s other sites that are DIY however.

Cool story bro.
The site isnt for diy help.
Its for hvac guys to bs, behind closed doors, and for us to help people with general questions.
Also, theres like 80,000 threads that kind of disprove your idea that the site is no good without diy assistance.

So you’re saying I should just unregister and reregister as a professional?
You could if you meet the requirements 👍🏻

How is my question not a general question?
Well rule #1 is no pricing is permitted 🙄
They ask me for a photo of my butt crack?![]()
number 2, your are trying to get us to help fix your broken unit.If you want access to the pro side, register as a pro, and provide your licensing to the membership comittee. Problem solved.
Ifs almost like we thought of that.
That is just absurd. I’ve been in tech for 25 years and if someone asks for help I help them.

Your profile says you’re a homeowner and you posted in the homeowner section.
This is a site for HVAC Professionals and the rules clearly state no DIY.
Sorry, but thread closed.
