Replacing furnace and air conditioner what are best options

If you live in a cold climate state, why wouldn’t you install a condensing furnace, as the Pulse is one. Wouldn’t it be a better sell than a 80% furnace. What’s the big deal about installing all new AHRI matched system A/C and Furnace, as again wouldn’t it be a better sell with new equipment, not to mention you can ask more for your residence, offsetting the initial cost.

I believe Trane has transferable manufacturer warranty so the new owner gets the full remaining manufacturers warranty instead of the manufacturers warranty drops when a new owner purchases the residence ( providing you register each piece ) which is also a selling point.

There typically are money in your pocket rebates from your state if furnace typically meets a minimum 95% efficiency threshold. Depending on what SEER your A/C is there are rebates for those also, if going new system. Those typically need to have a AHRI number to prove matching systems are installed. Don’t go by the outdoor unit rating alone ( or be lead by the Contractor that your SEER is rated by the outdoor unit rating alone ) if you go new A/C that the SEER rating on the outdoor unit is what your going to get. The indoor selection mated to the outdoor unit gives you your SEER and EER, ( not real world numbers thou. )

There is also the Federal Tax Credits : https://www.energystar.gov/about/fed…ty_tax_credits

Carrier and Bryant are pretty much the same company if comparing same tier models. Goodman typically has better manufacturers warranty than most manufacturers.

Have them do a startup/commissioning report on the new furnace and if you go all new complete system.

Labor warranty are typically one year, but could be more.

Not much difference between brands nowadays, parts come from all over the world, some are made in either Mexico or China and sent here, some are rebadged.

If your existing furnace seems to heat your house comfortably why would you want to get a larger furnace. If anything a new 60,000 95% furnace gives you a little extra BTU than ( guessing ) your Pulse @90/92 % efficiency @ 60,000 BTU. What is the efficiency rating of the pulse, 92% or 90%+
